I wanted to let everybody know that I’ll be sending these emails out more often going forward as a way to shed a little light on what’s been goin on with me. I put the newsletters on hiatus for awhile, but we back in the saddle, baby!
I’m super excited to let you guys know that Bloodshot Records, and I are releasing my 13th album, “The One & Only Scott H. Biram” on March 29th!
I have been sitting on it for a year now, and I’m so glad to finally get to share it with y’all!
I’ve been touring hard, hammer down, nose to the grindstone, for the last 26 years. I’ve been on the road since ’98, and in bands since ’89! So of course, we’ll be touring extensively in 2024 in the USA, and Europe specifically to promote the new album. This first run is 10 weeks long, but an old road dog like me can handle it! I’ll be celebrating my 50th birthday on the road in April (and missing the damn solar eclipse!). This is my "50th Year On Earth Tour!"
I’m only home for one day between USA, and Europe! I hope y’all can appreciate that! haha! The Euro leg of the tour will be my 27th European tour since 2006! That’s crazy, y’all!!
We released the first single of the new album last month. “Easy Rider” is my own tent revival style rendition of an old Leadbelly cover. Now we’re dropping the second single "Inside a Bar" (and the first video of the record) today February, 13th!

"Inside a Bar" is a straight up classic country style drinkin’ song that I wrote a couple years ago. I was really trying to capture the essence of a super slow night at a country dive. A place with only a handful of regulars hangin’ out at closing time. I imagined all the pitifulness of the disco lights flashing in full glory, even though just one couple slow dances drunkenly across the sprawling expanse of an empty dance floor. The singer existing in two bodies at once; he’s not only the lonely “regular" at the bar, but also the front man of the band playing to nobody on a Monday night. (I changed clothes. haha!) I think my friend, and video director, Frank “Coach” Weysos, really captured exactly what I was going for in this one. Although, I actually played all the instruments on the entire record, I thought it was appropriate to show me with a band for this particular dream sequence. This is the first time I’ve had anyone but myself appearing in one of my videos, and probably the first time many of you have seen me standing on stage.

Shot in San Antonio at The Lonesome Rose, some of you might recognize a few of the bright stars in the video. Jeff Smith, of The Hickoids, as the local drunk, Garrett T. Capps as the bartender, members of The Beaumonts and Harvey Mclaughlin as the band, my right hand man, Sweet T (Lil’ Bobo) as tough guy in the corner, our friend Jenn Reyes (Bucket Of Blood), and her man, The Outlaw, Marion Black as the masters of the dance floor. I hope you guys enjoy the music and the vid!
Keep your eyes open for another single, and video next month, shortly before the full release is out March 29th!! The next single and video are a different kind of animal! More of a rock song on the next one, and we’ll be pushing some boundaries. I’ve seen the video already, and it is the shiat!
Hey look here mofos! We need you guys to GET OUT TO THE SHOWS AND SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!! It’s the only way I can keep doing this! We gotta break outta this “I can watch this on the internet” bullshit. Plus I just love seein’ your shining faces! I’ll have new merch, and pre release copies of the new record (including vinyl) for sale starting from the first show of the tour on March 22nd in Phoenix, AZ. You’re not gonna wanna miss out on these new tee designs etc. I design all this stuff myself ya know?!!
All you folks who are feeling left out on any of these tours, please know we’re working hard to get to those places as soon as we can! I love y’all! I know you folks in Florida, and a few other places, have been chomping at the bit for a couple years now. I’m workin’ on it. We love visiting all these places. There are
only so many hours in a day, and so many miles I can hit throughout the year. Believe me, my blues, roots, robot ass is tryin’!!
Can’t wait to get on the road again for real next month!

And just as a side note, I’ll also be presenting an award at the 2024 10th Annual Ameripolitan Music Awards which are being held in Austin, TX this weekend. I won “Best Outlaw Male” last year in the 2023 Ameripolitan Awards, held in Memphis, TN. I’m totally stoked to be appearing as an official member of the family this year, see lots of friends, and get to wear more fancy duds on the red carpet again. I’ll also be doing some official, and private showcases at The American Folk Alliance Conference held in Kansas City if any of you are attending that next week!
